Dip SRMT MSMA
Emily trained at North London School of Sports Massage (NLSSM). She is a member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA) and the complementary and natural health care council (CNHCC).
Following a successful career in an international company Emily decided to spend two years re-training as a sports massage. This change in career was due to an interest in the importance of optimum physical fitness to improve performance, due to her own personal participation in long distance running and tennis.
She has already gained extensive practical experience in deep tissue/sports massage and remedial massage and is therefore well qualified to offer massage treatments to a wide range of clients.
Emily understands how muscle tension, muscle tightness and trauma places strain on the musculo-skeletal system. She is able to help people recover from sports related injuries and assist people with tension headaches, muscular back/ neck pain and muscle tightness ( to name but a few), using a variety of deep tissue techniques. Emily works closely with our in- house physiotherapists to ensure that our patients get the maximum out of their treatment and rehabilitation using a combination of the two therapies. She has an excellent understanding of the anatomy of the human body and how it functions, and she is able to use her techniques in a variety of positions to improve the effectiveness of her treatment.
