BSc Physio MCSP AACP

Nic began his career as a physiotherapist in 2007, working in the NHS where he completed his junior rotations in Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics, Respiratory, Neurological Rehabilitation and Paediatrics.

He has worked in numerous neuro-musculoskeletal clinics, both in the NHS and in private practice. He uses manual therapy, exercise therapy (including movement re-patterning for running and walking), acupuncture, Kinesiology taping, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM) as treatment methods.

Nic has had over 20 years of experience working in the military setting with the Armed Forces, and has provided physiotherapeutic support to elite soldiers, soldiers in training, and provided rehabilitation to injured servicemen and women returning from operations. This has included work with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court, along with Army Training Regiments and multinational emergency medical treatment facilities abroad.

Nic has also provided physiotherapy treatment to semi-professional rugby players, to professional dancers and musicians, and has even worked with Orangutans at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Borneo!

Other experience has included developing and tutoring an Anatomy & Physiology course for Pilates students as well as being a martial arts assistant instructor.

Nic strongly believes that exercise and fitness are crucial to both physical and mental well-being, and he strives for a holistic approach to health.

“I took sessions with Nic at Physiofitness in Finchley Central over the past few months, due
to a complicated shoulder injury from a skiing accident. Nic and his colleagues were
wonderful – very highly qualified, really caring for their patients and extremely friendly. My
arm is fully recovered now, and I attribute that largely to the fantastic therapy that I received.
– I can definitively warmly recommend Physiofitness!”

“I have visited Nic at Physio fitness about a neck and back issue. I’m so impressed with
everything from his welcome and analysis of the problem to treatment and advice. Nic is
kind, sensitive and obviously knows his stuff.”

“I broke my ankle many years ago which has necessitated physio treatment on a regular
basis. Finding a physiotherapist who can manage your treatment and provide excellent care
was challenging. Physiofitness and Nic were recommended to me and I must say I have
never wanted to change since my first appointment in January 2014.  Through the years I
have been able to discuss my treatment in a way that makes me feel confident that my ankle
is remaining the best it can. I was so pleased with the care I get I recommended them to my
husband when he was having problems. I have found Nic to be very flexible with my
schedule and excellent at providing advice especially as I travel quite extensively.  I would
have no hesitation in recommending Physiofitness for their  skill and professionalism.”

“I first saw Nic about five years ago after breaking my wrist very badly in two places. I had
been told I would never get full mobility back but after Nic’s treatments my wrist became
completely mobile again and it still is. Nic always listens and is a brilliant physio. My whole
family wouldn’t dream of using anyone else whenever they have a problem.”
Gill Bernstein

“Nic is a highly professional, skilful and experienced physio. He obviously cares about his
patients and has an extremely kind manner. I would strongly recommend him.

“I visited Nic at Physio Fitness on the recommendation of a friend.  I have visited osteopaths
and had acupuncture in the past for my ailments but none have worked as well as Nic’s
treatment.  A friendly and extremely helpful service backed up by hands on treatment that actually
works. I have recommended Physio Fitness to a few friends who have been delighted at the
improvement with their symptoms.
I always feel in safe hands when I see Nic and come away having to stop myself running
and jumping!”

“Nic supported my daughter, a competitive swimmer, through a pernicious problem with
muscles in her back.  He provided her with clear explanations and strategies to get her back
into training as quickly as was appropriate and to keep training and competing with no
reoccurrence to date.  Nic’s ability to communicate with and put my teenage daughter at
ease was excellent.”

“I went to Nic following knee surgery on both knees, he helped me to gain strength and
mobility. He is a very accomplished physio who pushed me to work hard and achieve good
results. I would thoroughly recommend him.”

“When in pain there is no better persons to see.  Alleviates discomfort offering many
techniques as one size doesn’t fit all!  Highly recommend Nic – he got me walking pain free
in just three sessions!”

Suffering with extreme back pain for the first time I was referred to Physio Fitness and I had
several sessions with Nic. From the beginning it was clear that he was extremely
knowledgeable, explaining the physical causes and triggers and taking me through some
tailored exercises. After some massage and electrotherapy we proceeded towards
acupuncture treatment which was administered in a very professional manner and resolved
the issue after a few treatments. I would whole-heartedly recommend Nic – however, as I
jokingly said to him after our last session, in the nicest way possible I hope I never see him
again!!

Many thanks to Nick Cote who has sorted my back on numerous occasions and just emailed
me a short exercise selection. .Any GP practices out there get your support lists working. It’s
like drawing teeth to get a recommendation.
